DIY VALENTINE’S DAY GIFTS

Natural with White Polka Dots Gift Box: Target | Tissue Paper: Target | Candle: Target (also love this one for $12) | Vaseline Rosy Lip Therapy Valentines: Target | essie Nail Polish “Hi Maintenance”: Target

The thing I love the most about Valentines’ Day aside from the flowers is having a day to remind your loved ones how much you love them. With the constant hustle of our everyday lives, it easy to forget to show you’re the special people in your life how much they truly mean to you. My mom always prepared a small thoughtful gift on Valentine’s Day from her and my dad to remind us how much they loved and adored my sisters and I. It’s such a sweet and simple gesture that always made us so appreciative of our parents. My dad always wrote the best love notes and my mom would spoil us with lipsticks and sweet treats.  It wasn’t much but it was most definitely the thought that counted, I still have some of the notes my dad wrote me!

I love to get each of my girlfriends, especially my little sisters a little something sweet on Valentine’s Day. I started off by thinking about the fun and yummy things my mom filled our gifts with and then remembered these cute conversation cookies and got to work. In case you missed the Valentine’s Day Cookies post from last week which is the center piece of my gifts you can see it here. I wanted to keep the gifts simple but up the sweets because what girl isn’t planning to have an obsessive amount of sugar that day?! While these are incredibly easy to assemble, I recommended making your cookies a couple days before to lighten the prep time.

To create these little fun Valentines’ Day gifts, I started with these cute polka dot boxes from Spritz. I then laid out a selection of my adorable conversation heart cookies and wrapped them in cellophane bags. For my girly besties, I added these lovable beauty items from Target like this Essie light pink polish “Hi Maintenance” and this rosy Vaseline lip therapy and wrapped them in this darling #LOVE bag. Of course, it would not be complete without a delicious smelling candle. My favorite finishing touches was the darling #LOVE bag and the glitter hangtags I got for $1, from my favorite Target section! I share all about my Target obsession in this spring inspired home décor post here.

So basically, this gift is simple, but nonetheless the perfect way to show your love to your besties! I hope you enjoy the ideas and love spreading the Valentine’s Day cheer to friends and family as much as I do! XOXO
